Guatemala. NaturAceites, the benchmark company in the sustainable production of palm oil, carried out the 10K Fray marathon. The race that has become the most anticipated in Fray Bartolomé de las Casas, Alta Verapaz. More than 800 runners of the region participated, establishing for the fifth consecutive time, a new participation record.

From very early on, the runners approached Fray Bartolomé de las Casas to prepare and start the race at 7:00 a.m. The starting point was located for the first year in front of the Municipal Hall, from where they left for the entrance of Finca Yalcobé, returning to the entrance of Nueva Libertad to find the final goal in Parque Central, where their participation medal was delivered.

 

Hundreds of families from the community were part of this festival supporting athletes and fans in this sporting activity, many of them traveled from Izabal or Petén early to be witnesses too.

"We are very proud to be able to successfully celebrate this race for the fifth year in a row. The sport motivates us to provide a space for family fun in Fray. We are a company committed to excellence and sustainability, therefore, we work hand in hand with communities to generate comprehensive development in our country, "said Cristian Montufar, Social Management Manager of NaturAceites in Fray Bartolomé de las Casas.

The award-winning categories were free male, female free, special abilities, male infant and female infantile. The first place of each division took Q2,500 as a prize; the second place received Q1,500 and the third place Q800. Prizes were also awarded in the category of boys and girls of Q500 for the first place; Q300 for the second place and Q200 for the third place. In addition, there were special prizes for the best original broker of Fray Bartolomé de las Casas and the best collaborators of NaturAceites.
